Greetings
Thank you so much for visiting my website. My name is Kelan Chang, a graduate of Coe College in Cedar Rapids Iowa. If you are visiting this website that would suggest to me that you either have an interest in pottery or happen to know another Kelan Chang in the world, in which case kudos! Growing up in Afton, Minnesota, a lovely little town on the scenic St Croix River, I have always had an interest in the arts. But it wasn't till college that I found an obsession with pottery. Through the support of my mentor, John Beckelman, I found that this medium was something that I could really connect with and decided to major in.
In addition to Art, I also studied Business Administration and Public Relations. Other than going to class everyday, I also participated in a number of clubs and organizations on campus: International Club, the Committee on Internationalization, Track and Field, Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity, and the Coe College Writing Center. Right now I'm currently working as a Assistant Language Teacher in Miyazaki, Japan. Though I won't be touching clay again for some time, I have the full intention of applying for a post baccalaureate soon with perhaps an MFA in sight.
For a more detailed look into my endeavors pre and post college, feel free to take a look at my resume.
Thanks much,
Kelan
